Kayla was the Sport Nutritionist at the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence for 3 years during her time in Victoria, BC.
She has been a contracted Nutritionist for the RCMP (Police department), high performance sport clubs, and two Integrative Health Clinics working as part of a team alongside Functional Medicine Doctors and Practitioners.
She has coached Disordered Eating clients and partnered with an Eating Disorder therapist in Victoria.
Her experience in Nutrition has added up to over 200 1:1 clients and many more through group education.
She lives with her family on a homestead on the beautiful and wild Sunshine Coast of BC.

Key Principles I believe as a Nutritionist

2. Our bodies are well equipped to to regenerate, detoxify and find homeostasis. Therefore, focus more on strengthening and supporting the body and trusting its processes rather than starving, or attacking invaders.
3. True health is found holistically: mind, body, spirit. Everything is connected and the body operates as one piece.
4. Nutrition should come mostly from whole foods (rather than supplements) as they contain the important enzymes and cofactors needed for absorption of nutrients.
5. Humans are part of nature, and our environment plays a crucial role in health. Eating and living seasonally and embracing your biological design as a woman will lead to the greatest vitality.
